Description
The Lennox 100679-15 Thermostatic Expansion Valve(TXV) regulates liquid refrigerant flow into 2-ton evaporator coils operating with R-410A refrigerant. Installed into the liquid line using 3/8-inch inlet and 1/2-inch outlet ODF connections in HVAC systems, it adjusts its internal metering orifice based on suction line temperature and pressure signals. Regulating liquid refrigerant expansion maintains precise evaporator superheat, controls refrigerant flow rates into the cooling coil, and supports efficient thermal transfer across changing system cooling loads.
