Description
The Lennox 19V97 Reversing Valve redirects refrigerant between connected circuits so heat-pump equipment can change between heating and cooling operation. A 24V electrical signal shifts the internal valve mechanism, moving the refrigerant passages into the required position. The 1/2-inch by 7/8-inch connections provide the interfaces for the adjoining refrigerant lines. Installed directly within the refrigerant piping, the valve changes which heat exchanger receives or releases heat as the flow direction changes. This arrangement switches the refrigerant path when the control signal changes, allowing the connected equipment to alternate operating modes in HVAC systems.
